Shabat Shalom Creating A Receptacle
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat Hacham Yosef Chayim Ben Hacham Eliyahu Chayim (The Ben Ish Hai) and R' Avraham Yissachar Ber HaKohen(Chessed L'Avraham) ben R' Shlomo Radomsk(Tiferet Shomo) Their Neshamot should have an Aliyah. Zechutam Tagen Aleinu. Amen! And a Zechut for all of Hashem's children who are lost to find Him Bekarov AMEN!
"A full fect and honest measure shall you have..."(25:15)
Rashi Hakadosh explains this Pasuk to be saying that if you keep a full and honest measure, you will have -- i.e. you will be blessed with plenty. This seems to contradict the lesson of Chazal that only the giving of Ma'aser invokes the promise of wealth. We must say that honesty in business dealings provides a receptacle for receiving Hashem's Brachot. After all, what benefit would one derive from wealth and blessing if he cannot receive and contain those blessings? Thus, while giving Ma'aser may cause one to merit wealth, dealing honestly will enable him to receive it.
Similarly, one must provide an appropriate receptacle for success in the study of Torah, for only then can he succeed in many aspects of his studies.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah II, Parshat Ki Tezei, Derush Hey)
All Bracha that we receive during the week comes from Shabat. If we would like Bracha during the week, we first must keep and observe the Shabat. The more amazing our Shabat is the more amazing our weeks will be. So lets all have a Shabat packed with Ahavat Yisrael, Ameilut B'Torah, Kavanah in Tefilla, Menuchat HaNefesh, Leibedeke Zmirot, amazing food, with all of Klal Yisrael whether they have found the Torah yet or are waiting for us to teach them! AMEN Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom One Thousand Defending Angels!
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat R' Yom Tov Lipman Heller (1654), author of Tosfot Yom Tov, R' Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum of Sighet ben R' Elazar Nisan, R' Moshe Mintz, R' Yechezkel Sarna and R' Meir Zvi Ehrentreu. Their Neshamot should have an Aliyah. Zechutam Tagen Aleinu. AMEN. And a Zechut for the Rosenberg Family to be bleesed with Osher Shefa Bracha VHatzlacha Rabbah Amen!
A person should reflect that every time he studies even a single word of Torah he fulfills a positive Mitzvah, and for every Mitzvah he acquires a defending Malach. Then let him consider how many defenders he acquires on High if he reviews a Mesechta over and over until he is fluent in it. In the time to come, these defenders will rescue him from Gehenoim and from all the forces of evil that chase after his Neshama. Moreover, they will elevate him until he merits all manner of goodness and is bound up in the bundle of life with Hashem, his G-d.
The Holy Chafetz Chayim quotes the Sefer Menorat HaMe'or (Ner 3, Klal 8, Part III) who cites an awesome incident in the name of the Midrash Tanchuma involving a man who spent his entire life reviewing Mesechet Chagigah.
The passage reads: A pious man once closeted himself away in a certain place where he spent his time studying Mesechet Chagigah. He would study it and review it again and again until he knew it by heart. The man knew no other Mesechet in Shas, but continued reviewing that one Mesechet his whole life.
When the time came for him to leave this world he was alone in his house and no one else knew of his passing. Then, a certain figure appeared in the form of a woman and stood over him wailing, crying and lamenting. She sighed and wailed so profusely that a large crowd gathered. "Eulogize this pious man and bury him," she commanded them. "Give honor to his coffin and you will merit Olam Haba, for this man honored me his entire life. Thanks to him I was not abandoned nor forgotten."
Immediately all the women gathered round and sat with her, and an enormous funeral was held. The men tended to the shrouds and all the other requirements of burial and interred him with great honor. Meanwhile the woman continued weeping and wailing until at last the people asked her name. She replied, "My name is Chagigah!"
As soon as the pious man was buried the woman disappeared and the people then realized that it was indeed the Mesechet Chagigah that had appeared to them in the form of a woman. She had come at the time of his passing to lament and weep over him and to see that he was buried with honor because he had reviewed this Mesechta continually and dedicated himself to its study.
An insightful person will understand from here just how powerful a defender this Mesechta will be for him on High, causing his Neshama to be bound up in the bundle of life and saving him on the great and terrible Day of Judgment.(Sefer Torat HaBayit, Perek Vav, R' Yisrael Meir HaKohen Kagan)
The Chafetz Chayim says that each word of Torah learned on Shabat is times one thousand. During the week we all have excuses why we are unable to learn, such as work. Hashem in his infinite Chessed, gave us a day free of work, where we can sit and learn His amazing Torah and create for ourselves defending Malachim, but not only that He is so kind that every word of His holy Torah that we learn on Shabat creates ONE THOUSAND DEFENDING MALACHIM! Who would want to give up this amazing chance! We should all be zoche to create billions of amazing Malachim this Shabat who will make sure we are all Zoche to enter Olam Haba HaTzafon LaTzaddikim AMEN! Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom To One Neshama!
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat R' Shmuel ben R' Yosef Zundel Salanter, R' Menachem Mendel Alter HY"D, and R' Eliezer Zusia ben R' Yisroel Avrohom Portugal. Their Neshamot should have an Aliyah. Zechutam Tagen Aleinu AMEN! And a Zechut for HaRav Yehoshua Fass and family to have Osher Shefa Bracha Vhatzlacha Rabbah Bechinam AMEN!
"The Blessing that you hearken to the commandments of Hashem."(11:27)
This itself is the blessing, to follow the Mitzvot, even if one is forced to live in poverty in this world, by doing so he can acquire all the blessings of the World to Come. One the other hand, not hearkening to the Mitzvot is itself the curse and any luxuries one is given only add to the curse by detracting from the reward he would have had in the next world for his Mitzvot. What is more, his wealth only provides him with increased opportunities to sin than he would have had if he had lived in poverty, so his very wealth is turned into a curse. (Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Re'eh, Derush Gimmel)
The Gemara tells us that Shabat is 1/60th of Gan Eden. By keeping the Mitzvot(keeping Shabat) we are zoche to Bracha, the taste of Olam Haba. Unfortunately many think that if they work on Shabat they will see Bracha, any money that they make on Shabat is from the Satan, which is a curse and they are missing out on the taste of Olam Haba. Klal Yisrael is one Neshama, Kol Yisrael Araivim Ze L'Ze. We must find these people, and give them the taste of Bracha! This Shabat we should all be zoche to celebrate Shabat as one full complete Neshama AMEN!

Shabat Shalom All Powerful!
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat R' Mordechai ben R' Hillel, the "Mordechai" HY"D, R' Meir Hagadol of Premishlan and R' Eliyahu Dushnitzer. Their Neshamot should have an Aliyah. Zechutam Yagen Aleinu AMEN! And a zechut for Brindle Zelda Bat Yita Racha, Eliyahu Noach Ben Yita Racha and Chaya Sheindel Bat Yita Racha to find their zivugim Bekarov Bechinam AMEN!
Hear, O Israel, today you cross the Jordan, to come and drive out nations that are greater and mightier than you.(9:1)
Rashi Hakadosh comments, "You are strong, and they are stronger than you" HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein ztl says that it should have made no difference whether the Jews were strong or weak. Their own might could never have been great enough to conquer the Canaanites without Hashem's help.
We may say, then, that the Torah does not want us to think that this command was addressed only to the weaker ones, while the strong could rely on their own strength to protect them and so had no need of a command not to be afraid. Therefore we are told that however strong we may be, the Canaanites are even more powerful and we cannot rely on our strength. However, we need not fear them because Hashem will protect us, for all the strength in the world is nothing compared to Hashem's strength.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Eikev, Derush Vav)
The power of the greatest Tzaddik is nothing compared to the power of the Satan, Yetzer Hara and the other side. We must realize that without Hashem's help we will have no chance against the Yetzer Hara. We must daven to the All Powerful Hashem to help us fight. And if the greatest Tzaddik doesn't have enough power to fight the Yetzer all the more so a Rasha. Our job is to daven for these lost Neshamot to come back under the protection of the Almighty! In the zechut of davening for our lost brethren we should all be zoche to beat our Yetzer Hara for the last time and totally destroy it. With the Yetzer Hara gone, we will all be zoche to learn Hashem's Holy Torah, under the Ohr HaGanuz basking in the Zif HaShechinah in Gan Eden AMEN! May it be Your Will, Hashem, my G-d and the G-d of my Forefathers, that you dig a tunnel beneath Your Throne of Glory to bring back in complete Teshuvah all the evildoers of Your people the House of Israel AMEN! Shabat Shalom Without Any Reason!
To All Jews:
This Week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat Nachum Ish Gamzu, Rav Benzion Yadler, and Reb Osher, the Stoliner Rebbe. Their Neshamot should have an Aliyah, Zechutam Yagen Aleinu AMEN. And a Zechut for the Eichler family to get electricity in their new home in Eretz Yisrael! AMEN.
Ve'etchanan -- I implored (3:23)
Rashi Hakadosh relates the word Ve'etchanan to Chinam, gratis, free. Although Tzaddikim could base their requests on their good deeds, they ask Hashem only for free gifts. Now this is surprising. Is it possible to think that Hashem would treat any Tzaddik, even a lesser one than Moshe Rabeinu, unfairly and not repay him for his good deeds?
Certainly Hashem knew about all Moshe's good deeds when He decreed that he not enter Eretz Yisrael. If so, how could Rashi Hakadosh have supposed that Moshe would ask Hashem to repeal the decree on the basis of his good deeds?
HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein ztl answers that we must say that even though Moshe could not claim anything from Hashem in return for his good deeds, he still could only have requested what he did as a free gift, a special act of kindness. We must understand, however, that Hashem's acts of benevolence fall into two categories, those He bestows on people because they love Him and are faithful to Him, and those that have no reason or justification whatsoever. Although, as we have seen, Moshe could not have claimed that Hashem owed him anything in return for his good deeds, he could still have argued that his good deeds entitled him to be considered among those who love Hashem and faithful to Him, and that he was therefore entitled to the first category of gift mentioned above. But even this he did not ask, but instead relied on Hashem's pure mercy to give him the second category of gift, which requires no reason or justification of any kind.
This, then, is what Rashi meant by a "free gift". Even though everything Hashem gives man is a free gift -- since, according to strict justice, Hashem owes us nothing -- normally one gives gifts to those he loves and from whom he derives some kind of pleasure, or who are his children or relatives. Moshe, however, took the path of Tzaddikim and threw himself completely on Hashem's infitnite mercy, asking Hashem to do him this favor without any reason or rationalization.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Ve'etchanan, Derush Alef)
Hashem You owe us nothing! Many of us cannot even tell You that we truly love You or are faithful to You. But we beg you now for a "free gift". Please bless all those that are sick to have a refua shelema, all those that are single to find their zivugim, all those awaiting children should be blessed with beautiful zara chaya vkayama who will grow up to be Talmidai Chachamim and Baatei Torah, all those who are in need of a Parnasa should be given Chachma to know how to get it in the easiest most honest and correct way, all those that have not found You yet should be zoche to be inspired to come back to You and live full healthy wealthy Torah lives till 120, all those that are in need clarity in life should be zoche to it both in Ruchniut and Gashmiut aspects, all that are in need of a Rebbe should find one that will lead him in the way of Torah, all that are in need of a Chavruta should find one that will help them grow as it says "O Chavruta O Metuta", all those that are in need of friends should be zoche to amazing friends who will help them reach their tikkun and never know of the Gehenoim of loneliness, all those in need of clothing should find clean nice respectable clothing, all in need of a car should be zoche to find one to drive to do Mitzvot and Chessed, and all of Klal Yisrael should be zoche to greet Mashiach Tzidkainu and see the building of the third and final Beit Hamikdash AMEN BECHINAM Without any reason or justification! Shabat Shalom Lets Bring Them ALL Back!
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat R' Simcha Zissel Ziv of Kelm. His Neshama should have an Aliyah and be a Zechut for all of Klal Yisrael. AMEN! And a Zechut to bring Mashiach Tzidkainu NOW!
Once, Rav Dan Mordechai, the Av Beit Din of Lizehensk, was traveling out of town with the Rebbe Reb Elimelech. They came to a shaded field on the town's perimeter, and Rebbe Elimelech went off to for Hitbodedut, to meditate in seclusion. Suddenly Rav Dan Mordechai heard wailing and crying coming from the direction of the forest. The cries were terrible, and he remained in the spot until the Rebbe Reb Elimelech returned from his seclusion. The Rebbe asked Rav Dan "Did you hear anything?"
"Yes, Rebbe, I heard terrible cries coming from the forest, and I could not imagine who could produce such sounds." "Know," said Rebbe Elimelech "that these are the Neshamot of those Jews that must one day be drafted into the army. They are wailing because they know that in the future they will be forced to desecrate the Holy Shabat and will be unable to keep the commandments of the Melech Malchei HaMelachim Hakadosh Baruch Hu"(Eser Tzachtzachot 7)
None of us can even begin to understand the pain that a Neshama goes through when it is in a Guf(Body) that is forced to Mechalel Shabat. Baruch Hashem none of us are in the situation that we are forced to desecrate the amazing gift that Hashem gave us: Shabat! From Shiva Asar B'Tammuz the level of mourning and sadness has gone up, Our Father in Shamayim is in a lot of pain, more pain that we can ever imagine, His children are lost! As His children we should want to do whatever we can to take Him out of pain. Lets all this Shabat try our best to keep Shabat like we never kept it before, and in addition to that, try to find someone that usually does not keep Shabat and teach him of the sweet taste of a Kabalat Shabat, a Friday night meal, Zmirot, Divrei Torah, Cholent, Lachma Basheen, and what it means to be K'Ish Echad B'Lev Echad! In this zechut, Hashem will be a truly proud parent and take His children out of this horrible Galut and Sunday will turn into a great day of Simcha AMEN! Shabat Shalom V'Chag Sameach!!! Shabat Shalom Salt or Sponges?
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat Aharon HaKohen, Elazar Ben Aharon Hakohen, Reb Shmuel Ehrenfeld, Reb Yaakov Moshe Shurkin, and Reb Shlomo Halberstam. Their Neshamot should have an Aliyah and be a zechut for all of Klal Yisrael AMEN!
Two donkeys once went forth on a journey, each with his load. One of them was carrying a heavy sack of salt, while the other had a pack full of sponges.
The first donkey sighed woefully. The cumbersome burden hindered his movements and weighed down heavily on his back. The second donkey hardly felt the large sack of light sponges. He frolicked mischievously up and down the mountain road with carefree abandon.
Several hours had passed when they came to a river. As there was no bridge, they had to enter the water. Within moments, the salt which had pressed down upon the first donkey's back, dissolved in the water, leaving an empty sack behind. The donkey swam across the water and soon reached the other side.
The poor second donkey became weighed down by the sponges, which rapidly became waterlogged. They became so heavy that they bore down on him and dragged him to the bottom of the river, where he drowned.
Chazal advise us to "eat bread dipped in salt and drink sparingly, sleep on the ground and live a life of want while toiling in Torah. If you do this -- you will be fortunate and all will be well with you. You will be fortunate in this world and all will be well for you in the World to Come"(Pirke Avot 6:4)
It is easy to understand that a man who limits himself to the minimum of material needs in order to devote himself to Torah, will reap great reward and happiness in the World to Come. But how will he be fortunate in this world if he lives a life of deprivation?
We must realize that when a person indulges in worldly comforts, the materialism clings to him. When the time comes for his Neshama to depart from his body, it will be necessary to thrash him harshly to separate the one from the other, for the gross materialism will have stuck tightly. This will cause the person much suffering in this world. The Tzaddik, however, who mortifies his body in this world and only eats enough to keep himself alive, will be free of unnecessary materialism. He will not have to undergo the 'suffering of the grave' the blows which free the Neshama from the body at death. He will have reduced his attachment to the material to a bare minimum. With a slight shake, his Neshama will separate itself from the body, just as the salt dissolved in the water in a matter of moments. The stuff of the burden that had weighed the donkey down and seemed detrimental before it reached the river was the very thing which saved its life when it crossed to the other bank.(Meshalim M'HaBen Ish Hai)
The Gemara tells us that Shabat is 1/60th of Olam Haba. Many of us spend the six days of the week working to make a parnasa, and know there are two ways of doing that. One person might spend every waking moment trying to find another way to make more and more money, with money being the goal. Another spends the time needed working to support his family as his goal. Depending on how you spend your week is how your Shabat will be. If your every waking moment is spent trying to find more ways of making money then Shabat for this person will be reading business magazines, newspapers, never really taking a break from the week, this is Genenoim on earth, and suffering on this world and the Next. But the person who works to support, and spends his free time learning, will come to Shabat and spend his free hours with his family and studying Torah, and have a taste of Olam Haba. The first guy looks like he is enjoying the world with his fancy car and beautiful house, but he has no time to enjoy life. The second guy doesn't look to be enjoying his life as much with a simple car and house but truly he is enjoying this world and the Next. We should all be zoche to realize the importance of learning Torah, and how it will help us both in this world and the next. Shabat Shalom!

To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message has been sponsored by the Kopel Family. They should be zoche to have ziata dishmaya to make the right decisions in all aspects of their lives Hashem should shower them with Brachot both in Ruchniut and Gashmiut and have Rachamim on them. AMEN And Liulay Nishmat Rabeinu Moshe Cordevero.
"They journeyed from Rephidim, and they encamped in the Wilderness of Sinai.(33:15)
In the Parasha's account of the journeys, it is not mentioned that Bnei Yisrael received the Torah at Har Sinai. HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein explains that this is due to the fact that the Torah must always be considered as if it was just given, and not like a document that was given on Har Sinai thousands of years ago. Therefore, here the Torah does not record its being given.(Pesikta Zutra, VaEtchanan 6:7)(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Masei, Derush Bet)
When things are new, we tend to get more excited about them. A Bar Mitzvah boy can't sleep the night before he puts on Tefillin. A couple remember the excitement of getting married, and parents will never forget their first child. After a while we tend to lose the excitement and start doing things by route. Shabat is no exception, week after week, the same thing. Our job is to view each Shabat as if it was the first Shabat we have ever experienced. Walk into shul and daven with joy, come home and make Kiddush and sing Shabat Zemirot with fire and awe, and say Divrei Torah that will inspire you and your family and elevate your table. Shabat Shalom!!!

A pagan once asked Rabbi Akiva: "Why do you celebrate the festivals when Hashem despises your festivals? For is it not written, "Your New Moon festivities and your festivals My spirit despises."?(Isaiah 1:14)
Answered Rabbi Akiva, "There would be justice in what you say if the verse had said, 'My New Moon and My festivals does My spirit despise.' Instead, it says, "Your New Moon and your festivities--the prophet--is speaking of the festivals that Yeravam Ben Nebat had arbitrarily decreed. For he had set the festival of Succot to be celebrated in the eighth month (rather than in the seventh), as it is written, "and Yeravam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the 15th day of the month...which he had devised of his own heart..."(Malachim I, 12:32-33) But those New Moon festivals and holidays that Hashem commanded us have not been nullified. For it is written, "These are Hashem's festivals that you must celebrate as sacred holidays at their appropriate times"(Vayikra 23:4) and the scripture says to them, moreover, "They are established forever and ever, they are done in truth and uprightness."(Tehillim 111:9)(Yalkut Me'am Loez)
The Zohar Hakadosh says that during the time before the coming of Mashiach, something will happen that will make it look like the Yetzer Hara is correct and the Torah is false. We must learn the Torah well, to make sure that we do not fall into the trap. When asked questions about the validity of the Torah, many of us fall into the trap because we do not know and start to question our faith. One of the ways to fight this is to learn! Shabat is a great day to sit and study the great Torah, so we will not Chas Vchalila fall, but instead we will stick with Hashem and be zoche to see the coming of Mashiach speedily in our days, AMEN. Shabat Shalom Grab Them Before It's Too Late
To All Jews:

"Behold! the people will arise like a lion cub..."(23:24)
Rashi comments: They strengthen themselves like a cub and a lion to seize the Mitzvot. We see from here that a Mitzvah which is "grabbed" because one is afraid to delay is more meritorious than another Mitzvah. One would think that if one is on the road and a Mitzvah comes his way, which could be done immediately, or performed at home in a more deliberate manner, that it would be preferable to wait until one is able to do it in an unhurried manner. The Torah teaches us here that the Mitzvah performed by "grabbing" is superior because one's actions demonstrate one's conscientiousness and one's concern that, perhaps an unforeseeable accident will occur, which will prevent him from performing the Mitzvah. The attitude evinced by such behavior is superior to all other ways one can enhance the performance of a Mitzvah.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Balak, Derush Gimmel)
We are currently living in the birthpangs of Mashiach. The Yetzer Hara knows that soon it is going to be destroyed, and wants to take as many Jews with him as possible. He is trying to entice us to do sins whose punishment are Karet. A person who is Mechalel Shabat warrants this punishment. If we see anyone desecrating the Shabat lets not say, "its not the setting to talk to him about this" or "its not the right time" Let us "grab" this amazing Mitzvah, and help bring our brothers and sisters closer to their Father, and make sure that they join us when we celebrate the coming of Mashiach speedily in our days! "This is the decree of the Torah"(19:2)
The Torah employs the same expression in the Parasha dealing with the cleansing of the utensils that had belonged to heathens(31:21) One would have thought that the Torah would have worded these two verses differently, viz, This is the statute of the cow, and This is the statute of the utensils.
Perhaps the Torah used this distinctive expression to teach us that all the Mitzvot in the Holy Torah, both those whose reasons cannot fathomed and those whose reasons are obvious, must be understood as Chukim, statutes, as decrees without reasons. This rule that all Mitzvot are to be considered Chukim applies even to Mitzvot whose reasons are given by the Torah itself, to those whose rationale were illuminated by the Gemara, and certainly to those Mitzvot whose reasons were defined by the Geonim. That is the approach which we must take in fulfilling the Mitzvot of the Torah.
The same is applicable to the Mitzvah of Tzizit, which requires a thread of Techelet on each corner. Concerning this, the Gemara (Sotah 17a, and Menachot 43b) explains that Techelet resembles the sea, the sea resembles the sky, and the sky resembles the Throne of Glory. Korach and his company misunderstood this and believed that the obligation to perform the Mitzvah was dependent on the reason, and since a garment made completely of Techelet conveyed the same idea as the thread of Techelet, there was no need to attach Techelet to it. In reality, however, the Mitzvah applies in all cases, even where the reason has apparent application because ultimately all Mitzvot must be observed and are to be viewed as a royal edict.
In this fashion, we must fulfill all sections of the Torah no differently then the law of the Red Cow, which is clearly a Chok. The Torah employs the same terminology Zot Chukat HaTorah by the laws requiring the cleansing of heathen utensils to remove any traces of non-Kosher food which they may have absorbed. Now this is a Mitzvah the reason for which is abundantly clear. Yet the Torah calls it Chukat HaTorah as well, to teach us that although there is a simple reason for this din, it must nevertheless, be treated as a Chok, a Divine ordinance.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Chukat, Derush Alef)
Many people will only perform a Mitzvah if they know why they are doing it. Do not get me wrong we must learn to understand every facet of Torah and Mitzvah observance. But if we do not understand why, then the fact that Hashem told us to should be enough. This also applies ben Adam L'Chavairo, many will buy their spouses gifts when they know that they have to such as birthdays, anniversaries etc, and this is important but even more important are buying "Chok Gifts" gifts for no reason whatsoever, a small gift to say "I love you and I know this will make you happy!" Let us serve Hashem because we love Him even though we don't always know why He wants us to do something and lets make our spouses happy even if its not a day that was set aside for that! In this zechut all the small homes will have Shalom and then the big Home the Home of Hashem can be built AMEN! Shabat Shalom!

"For the entire congregation -- all of them -- are holy"(16:3)
HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein ztl says that Korach's argument, the entire congregation -- all of them -- are holy, and why do you exalt yourself over the congregation of Hashem, is the basic argument of those who reject the Torah leaders and think they know the Torah as well as the Gedolim, and they do not need a teacher or leader. Without the tradition from one of the great men of the generation, one can easily err, just as Korach erred in the laws of Tzizit and Mezuza, and just like the apostasy of Eleazar ben Po'irah, who maintained that the Sefer Torah is lying in the corner, and whoever wishes to learn may come and learn. (Mesechet Kiddushin 66a) The fallacy of this assertion is not only regarding the Written Torah, as the Tzaddukees maintained, when they denied the authenticity, of the Oral Law. One who believes that the Talmud and all the Sepharim in the world are lying "in a corner," and that anyone can learn from them without the direction and guidance of Torah authorities, is an apostate. As is manifest, all kinds of apostates find support for their erroneous views in some Rabbinic maxim. This is because they misunderstand the meaning of the Rabbis. Even the generation of the Midbar, upon who the Shechinah rested, for they had heard the first two commandments of the Decalogue, still required Moshe and Aharon and all the Chachamim of the generation.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Korach, Derush Bet)
Our generation doesn't come anywhere close to the greatness of the Dor Habidbar, so lets not make the mistake and think that we don't need the Rabbis, "I am a genius! I know!" CHAS! We need our Rabbis and Hashem should keep them all well and healthy, so they can continue teach us Torah! Let us all spend this Holy Shabat, learning Torah, and listening to the holy words of our Rabbis! In this zechut we should be zoche to keep the Torah the correct way and get out of this horrible dark Galut, AMEN! Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom To An Honest People!
To All Jews:
"Ascend here in here in the South..."(13:17)
Moshe Rabeinu told the Meraglim to ascend here in the south. Rashi explains that Hashem wanted the Meraglim to enter Canaan through the Negev, the worst part of the land, just as the merchants show the worst part first. It would seem that the real practice of merchants is to do the exact opposite, and show the best, in order to fool the buyer into thinking that all the merchandise is as good as what he was shown, and that there is no need to check whether all of the merchandise will satisfy his needs.
HaGaon HaRav Moshe Feinstein Ztl says that we must explain that what Rashi means is that Yirei Shamayim merchants show the worst merchandise first. Because they are scrupulously honest, they want to ensure that the buyer realizes the true quality of the merchandise, and so they show the worst and then the best of what they are offering.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah II, Parashat Shelach, Derush Gimmel) The Holy Smag says that the way to bring Mashiach Tzidkainu is to copy what we did to get out of Mitzrayim. During the Maka of Choshech we looked through the Mitzriyim's stuff but we did not take anything. Our honesty gained us Chain in the eyes of the Mitzriyim. Again we must gain that Chain in the eyes of the Goyim by being really honest. Let us all try our best to be as honest as we can, and let this be an example to our children. And eventually honesty will be second nature to every Jew. In that amazing zechut we should be zoche with our honesty to bring Mashiach Tzidkainu Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN SHABAT SHALOM!!!!!

Shabat Shalom No Man Left Behind!!!
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message has been sponsored by Esther Miriam Bat Mazal and Rachel Bat Sarah. In the honor of Daniel Ben Yael. May Hashem open his eyes to the path of Torah Mitzvot and Avodat Hashem. May he be zoche to ziata dishmaya and amazing success in his learning and teaching. May he be zoche to find his Zivug Emet Bekarov, and together with her bring much light to this world. And may Hashem bless him with Parnasa tova to do His will. AMEN Bechinam.
A widow came to invite Hacham Haim Hizkiah Medini, to her daughter's engagement celebration. "Where is the engagement taking place?" he asked. "In my home," the woman replied. "Do you have enough room in your house to host the whole city?" "Surely not many will come" the woman answered sadly. "Of what importance are the concerns of a widow like me, to them?" Without hesitation, Hacham Haim told her, "Its quite possible that everyone will come and that you will not have enough room, so hold the engagement party in my house." Hacham called in his wife and explained the situation to her. She turned to the woman with a smile and said "Hurry and invite the entire community to our house. Don't worry about providing a thing -- we'll take care of everything!" Later on, people in the community said, "Anyone who was not present at that occasion never saw a happy engagement in his life!"(A Legacy of Leaders, Rav Haim Hizkiah Medini)
During an engagement or Chag or Shabat people should be B'Simcha. It is our job to make sure that everyone is happy during these times. There are many people who are lonely or depressed on the Holy day of Shabat! How can we sit back and let our fellow brothers and sisters continue to stay sad on such a Kadosh day! Just like Hacham Medini we must take things into our own hands and find people who are either lonely or sad and find a way to fill their Shabat with simcha. This can include inviting them to our Shabat tables, going to visit them, and/or trying to get them involved in some of the programs that go on, on Shabat. We accepted the Torah K'Ish Echad B'Lev Echad. Now let's accept Shabat K'Ish Echad B'Lev Echad no man or woman left behind, no matter what his or her situation is. Every Jew is important to Hashem! We will be held responsible for another person's pain if we could have done something about it! Every Jew should be B'Simcha this Shabat and in that zechut we will be zoche to receive Mashiach Tzdikainu B'Simcha K'Ish Echad B'Lev Echad AMEN!!!! Shabat Shalom!!!!

To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat Ruchama bat Harav Eliyahu Avraham (my cousin who was murdered by terrorists 30 years ago) her Neshama should have an aliyah and be a zechut for her family and for all of Klal Yisrael AMEN!
"Count the sons of Levi...from one month of age and up shall you count them."(3:15)
As apparent from the text, the Leviim were counted twice; once when they were a month old, when they were considered the "keepers of the watch" of the Sanctuary, and again, when they reached the age of thirty, when they would begin to perform the service in the Mishkan. From this we can learn the necessary preparation to become a Torah Scholar, a calling which is comparable to that of the Leviim, as portrayed by HaRambam at the end of Hilchot Shemitta, and by the Ran in Nedarim (62a) The lesson here is that Chinuch must commence at birth, as we find that the mother of Rabbi Yehoshua ben Chaninah wheeled his cradle into the Beit HaMidrash so that he could absorb the sounds of Torah study. Nonetheless, one may not rely on this early training, but must make sure that when the child matures, he is constantly observed to make sure that he continues in the ways of the Torah. It is for this reason that the thirty-year old Leviim are counted again.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Bamidbar, Derush Gimmel)
A parent must know that Chinuch starts when the child is born, and continues throughout his entire life. A close friend of mine was born religious along with many of his friends, who presently have not come back to a life of Torah. This person's parents understood that Chinuch started when he was born, but that it didn't stop there, they continued to inspire him to stay on the path of Torah. Many of us send our children to Yeshivot and think we have done our part in raising them as Torah Jews, WRONG! we must continue to be mechanech them, this can include learning with them, singing zemirot at the shabat table, inviting guests and most of teach them by example, show them that Yidishkeit is important to us. If a father after a long week comes home and spends Shabat learning and involving himself in Torah, this will give the children something to emulate when they get older. In the zechut of setting an amazing example for our children we should all be zoche with our amazing children to see the coming of Mashiach Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN! BEKAROV!!!! SHABAT SHALOM!

"If you will follow My decrees."(26:3)
Rashi explains that Hashem promises these Brachot if we engage in intensive Torah study. It would seem that only does Torah study require intense effort, but that every Mitzvah one is required to preform should be done with all one's power. Whether one is learning Torah or performing Mitzvot or attempting to influence others, to perform Mitzvot one must put great effort into that pursuit. Only thus will one be able to influence others, who will see that the Torah and the Mitzvot are so important and that one expends great effor in their performance. One who observes such intensity will comprehend that Torah and Mitzvot are worth the toil and effort that his friend expends on them.
The same applies to the giving of Tzedaka, into which one must put great effort by giving handsomely. Also, the effort to give must include giving before one has satisfied his own needs and desires. If one leaves his Tzedaka for last, no effort has been invested in it, and his giving does not reflect the importance of the Mitzvah.
Toil is mentioned in connection with Torah study because only one's efforts make it clear that it is not meant merely as a superficial perusal of wisdom. To this end, one must devote all his strength, talent and time to it. Thus, one factor governs both Torah study and Mitzvah performance; both must be done with the greatest effort. Only so will we demonstrate that our intent is to do the will of Hashem and not to satisfy our own personal interests and prejudices.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Bechukotei, Derush Alef)
Many spend the 33rd day of the Omer, lighting huge fires, as a hillula to the Tanna Rabeinu Shimon Bar Yochai. The Neshama is a fire, the size of the fire depends on how we learn and perfom Mitzvot. Friday was spent lighting huge physical fires, lets spend this Shabat lighting huge spiritual fires! Lets learn Torah with excitement, sing zemirot with joy, daven with fire and in this zechut and the zechut of the Tanna Rabeinu Shimon we should all be zoche to the real light; the Ohr HaGanuz, under which we will sit when Mashiach comes! Shabat Shalom Learn From Har Sinai
To All Jews:
And Hashem spoke to Moshe at Har Sinai saying...(Vayikra 25:1)
We will explain this Pasuk based on a teaching of Pirkei Avot (1:1) "Moshe received the Torah from Sinai and transmitted it to Yehoshua, and Yehoshua to the Zekeinim and the Zekeneim to the Nivim, and the Nivim to the Anshei Keneset HaGedola." In analyzing the text, we see that the word Umesaruha, "transmitted it," appears only between the mention of Moshe and his transmission to Yehoshua and regarding mention of the Nivim's transmission to the Anshei Keneset HaGedola. The word does not appear between Yehoshua and Anshei Keneset HaGedola and between the Anshei Keneset HaGedola and the Nivim. There must be some reason why the Chazal of the Mishnah worded it precisely in this manner. So, too, regarding Moshe, the words "transmitted it" do not appear, but rather it says that he "received" it.
We will attempt to answer these two questions based on the teaching of the Gemara on the Pasuk "Why do you quarrel [literally "prance"] hunchbacked mountains?" (Tehillim 68:17) The Chazal teach (Megilla 29a) that all the mountains gathered together before Hashem and asked that they be chosen to serve as the place for the giving of the Torah. Hashem answered them, "You are all blemished compared with Har Sinai," for the word gavnunim, hunchbacks, comes from the word for a type of blemish, gibein(Vayikra 21:20)
What is Har Sinai's great quality? It is the lowest and most humble of the mountains, teaching us that the Torah can only be given to one who humbles and lowers himself. Moshe Rabeinu was the most humble man who lived on earth (Bamidbar 12:3); this is why he was able to receive the Torah directly from Hashem Himself. When he wanted to teach it to Yehoshua, Yehoshua did not have the same quality as Moshe. Therefore Moshe had to transmit it to him with great effort and Mezirat Nefesh. [The words Mezirat Nefesh, "self-sacrifice" and "he transmitted it" share the same root.]
When Yehoshua needed to teach the Torah to the elders, he did not have the same power and level of self-sacrifice as Moshe. Rather, he taught the Torah to the elders according to the level that they could receive it. This is why it doesn't say that he "transmitted it" This continued for generation after generation, which continued to grow weaker and weaker. Therefore "transmitted it" is left out.
However, between the Nivim and the Anshei Keneset HaGedola, the word U'mesaruha reappears. This is the way of nature, that a thing eventually rises to the top, like the cycle of a wheel turning -- whatever is on the bottom, at the lowest point, eventually reaches the top, the highest point. The Nivim did have the power to transmit the Torah to the Anshei Keneset HaGedola [and hence the usage of U'mesaruha]
Therefore we can also understand why regarding Moshe the word U'mesaruha is totally inappropriate. He received the Torah directly from the mouth of Hashem Himself because he was a very humble person. Thus Moshe "received the Torah from Har Sinai" -- his ability to receive the Torah came from the same quality as Har Sinai, for Hashem rested His Presence upon Har Sinai out of all the other mountains because it was the lowest and most humble of them all.
Thus, "Hashem spoke to Moshe at Har Sinai saying" -- strengthen yourself with the qualities found in Har Sinai. Then you will be able to give the holy Torah to the Jewish people with your great holiness.(Peninei Noam Elimelech, Parashat Behar) Shabat Shalom!!

Shabat Shalom Its Time To Believe!
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is Liulay Nishmat Reb Naftali Aharon Shalom Ben Avraham David Zecher Tzaddik Vkadosh Lbracha, his Neshama should have an Aliyah and be a zechut to his family and all of Klal Yisrael AMEN!
"Hashem's appointed festivals that you are to designate...For six days, work may be done."(23:2-3)
Rashi explains the connection between the Shabat and the festivals. It is to teach us that desecration of the festivals is tantamount to desecration of the Shabat, whereas one who fulfills his obligations on the festivals is considered as if he kept the Shabaths. This can be explained as follows: The aim of the Shabat is the belief in Creation. Consequently, one who desecrates the Shabat is adjudged as if he denies the Creation. The festivals represent the belief that Hashem directs the world by Himself and controls nature, thus safeguarding the people of Israel. When He redeemed us from Egypt, He performed miracles for us, enveloped us in the Clouds of Glory, sustained and supported us in the desert, and bestowed upon us Torah and Mitzvot, to guide us in life. Half a faith is of no use. For example, one who believes that Hashem created the world but has delegated its direction to others, such as Malachim, or believes that the forces of nature are independent of His will, is as if he does not believe in Creation. If one believes that the world is controlled by other forces, there is no need to keep Hashem's Torah.
HaRambam(Begining of Hilchot Avodah Zara) explains that this was the error of Enosh and others who believed that control of the world was delegated to heavenly bodies and that they were to be worshiped as servants of Hashem. The end result of such a belief is that one forgets Hashem altogether. Therefore, when one desecrates the festivals, which testify to Hashem's active direction and control of the world, it is as if he has desecrated the Shabat. Likewise, if one believes that Hashem controls the world, but does not believe that He created it, but that others created it, or he believes that it was created long before the date given us by the Torah, his belief in Divine Providence is meaningless. It is for this reason that the Mitzvah of Shabat is juxtaposed to that of the festivals, because these fundamentals of faith are independent. Likewise, the belief in the Divine origin of the Torah is essential, and without it, the belief in Creation is of no consequence.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Emor, Derush Vav)
We should all be zoche to an amazing Shabat filled with Torah, Mitzvot, amazing food, friends, family, zmirot, Kedusha and the belief that Hashem is the one who created the world and is the one who gave you that amazing piece of Lachmabasheen and cholent that you are eating. Hashem created the world, and know that He is still here taking care of everything, so if you ever need anything turn to your Father in Heaven and ask! He will be more than happy to shower you with Brachot AMEN!

"And you shall not place a stumbling block before the blind"(19:14
This includes giving bad advice to one who is "blind" in a certain area. Do not say to another, "Sell your field and buy yourself a donkey," and then steal his donkey.(Rashi from Sifra)
Strange as it may seem, one who covets someone else's possessions which are inaccessible, and advises that party to purchase something which is easier to steal, is worse than an ordinary thief. This is because he has also committed the sin of proffering bad advice. A person is punished for committing the sin itself, as well as for all the means he employed to enable himself to commit that sin, for which he is punished separately.
Another difference between the ordinary thief and one who gives bad advice to facilitate his thievery is that the ordinary thief often perpetrates the robbery in a moment of weakness when he is overwhelmed by his Yetzer Hara. The one who gives bad advice, however, has planned his action carefully and has ample time to refrain from carrying out his scheme. If he carries through, it is not on a sudden impulse, but the result of careful planning. Consequently, his punishment is much more severe.
The same applies to the performance of Mitzvot. One who performs a Mitzvah is rewarded for the act of the Mitzvah itself in addition to the means he used to enable himself to perform that Mtizvah.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Kedoshim, Derush Daled)
There are 39 melachot that a person must refrain from doing on Shabat. There are certain key Mitzvot that a person must do on the Shabat(Kiddush, 3 meals, Pray etc) There are many ways that a person can fulfill these obligations. A person might just buy some food, speed through Kiddush eat with the attitude lets go, lets get this over with. Another person will make sure to buy really nice and good tasting food special for Shabat, set his table with a beautiful tablecloth, slowly say Kiddush, enjoy his food, sing zmirot, say dvar Torahs etc. Each basically fulfilled the core requirements of Shabat, but one "just did it" and one did it beautifully. Know that you get rewarded for adding beauty into your Mitzvot. In the zechut of all of us have a beautiful Shabat, Hashem should bless us with beautiful times with Mashiach Tzidkainu Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN!!

Shabat Shalom VChag Sameach Its time to look in the mirror!
To All Jews:
The Hebrew term for "admonish" hocheach, as in the Pasuk "You must admonish your neighbor" (Vayikra 17) is similar to the word nocheiach which means "in front of" What is the connection between these two concepts?
]Effective rebuke has to do with what is placed "in front of" a person. The Midrash tells us that when Yosef revealed his identity to his brothers, he rebuked them(Bereshit Rabbah 93:10) Yet nowhere in the Torah's account of this encounter (Bereshit 45) do we find any rebuke. The only statement from which the Gemara could conclude that Yosef admonished his brothers is the question he put to them: "Is my father still alive?"(Bereshit 3) Yosef knew that Yaakov was still alive; it was obvious from his earlier conversations with them, when the brothers spoke of how brokenhearted Yaakov would have been had they returned to him without Binyamin.
Yosef's intent in asking: "Is my father still alive?" was to point out to his brothers the contradiction in their attitudes. He expected them to hear in his words: "When you sold me, didn't you know that our father would brokenhearted? At that time you did not care. What has changed since then, that you are now so concerned for our father that you refused to return without Binyamin? Where is the consistency in your actions? Herein lies Yosef's rebuke.
True rebuke is presenting a person with the inconsistencies of his actions. This is the form of rebuke we will all face on the Day of Judgment. Hashem will not demand to know why we did or failed to do one thing or another. He will, rather, show us our actions in front of us and ask us to explain all the contradictions in our behavior. The only effective tochacha, admonishment, is in essence putting a person before (nochach) a mirror, and helping him see the inconsistencies and the contradictions in his ways.(Ner Uziel Parashat Kedoshim Derush Gimmel)
Pesach is coming to an end. We have spent the past week free of Chametz and have stuffed ourselves with Shmura Matza. Lets make sure that when we look in the mirror to make sure that all of our actions will be consistent. When Pesach ends we must take its lessons throughout the year as well. Lets make sure that our Neshamot are free of Chametz(Aveirot) and that we only eat Shmura Matza, just like we do not let any blemish come upon our Matza and we watch it carefully, lets watch our money and make sure that it has no blemishes of dishonesty, lets watch our homes and make sure that things that shouldn't be there stay out, lets watch our eyes and make sure that they only see things that are Kosher and most of all lets be as careful with our Neshamot as we are with our Matzot. In this zechut, just like the Shmura Matza is zoche to come upon our tables, we will be zoche to come upon Hashem's table! AMEN Shabat Shalom and Chag Sameach!

To All Jews:
"He shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth"(17:13)
The Rashbam (Rabeinu Shmuel Ben Meir) comments on this Pasuk that the reason for covering the blood of fowl and non-domestic animals is to make it unfit for human consumption. Why does this apply to the blood of Chayot and Ovot and not to the blood of Behemot?
HaRamban (Rabeinu Moshe Ben Nachman) proposes the following explanation: We are aware that all Kosher Behemot are fit to brought on the Mizbeach. On the other hand, no Kosher Chayot are fit for the Mizbeach. Nor are any Kosher Ovot fit for the Mizbeach with the exception of Torim and Bnei Yonah.
Rav Baruch Epstein, in Tosefet Beracha, notes that in Pasuk Yud Alef we are taught regarding blood, "...I have assigned it for you upon the Altar to provide atonement for you souls..." and he concludes that people will therefore automatically refrain from using the blood of a Behema, and need no further Harchaka. The blood of Chayot and Ovot, however, seems more accessible since it cannot be used on the Mizbeach.
This concept is similarly applied to Chametz. At the beginning of Mesechet Pesachim, Tosefot and the Ran(Rabeinu Nissim Ben Reuven) say that Bedika and Bitul are required for Chametz though not for other Issurim. Because people are accustomed to eating Chametz all year round, special measures must be taken to prevent the use of Chametz. Rabeinu Nissim adds that this may be why the Torah itself specifies the two prohibitions of Bal Yirah and Bal Yimatze.(Yesh Zechar Lepualetecha, Parash Achrei Mot, Derush Gimmel)
There are certain Avrairot that everyone stays away from without anyone having to warn them. Such as, murder, rape etc. There are many Aveirot that unfortunately because they are so widespread we must be extra careful to eradicate them from our lives. Such as, Lashon Hara, talking in shul etc. Just like the Chametz which we are used to all year, we must clean these Aveirot from our Neshamot and come into Pesach with perfectly clean houses and perfectly clean Neshamot. In the zechut of having both physically and spiritually clean houses we should be zoche to see the coming of Mashiach Bmhaira Vyamainu Amen! Shabat Shalom VChag Kasher VSameach!

"The Kohen shall command; and for the person being purified there shall be taken two live, clean birds."(14:4)
It is noteworthy that in the purification process of the Metzora, the Kohen must witness the ceremony and instruct the participants. This is unlike any other Mitzvah, for in all other Mitzvot, those commanded to fulfill the Mitzvah naturally comply, and no supervision is required. In this case, however, the Torah requires supervision, to teach us that when we instruct our pupils in the way of Hashem, it does not suffice merely to teach them what to do, but we must stand over them and watch how they do it. Particularly, if the pupil errs, as the Metzora did, he definitely requires individual attention. Only in this manner can we hope that one's disciples will be G-d-fearing people and Bnei Torah.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Metzora, Derush Alef)
Many of our children take some time to grasp their learning, but unfortunately we do not have much time during the week to sit and learn with them. Hashem has given us an amazing gift: Shabat. A day where we can spend extra time learning with our children and helping them build their learning skills. We must do this like Aaron HaKohen lit the Menora, he would not take the candle off until the wick was fully lit. Let us spend the precious time we have with our children, and teach them as much as we can so that one day they can truly be independent. Hashem should grant us all ziata dishmaya and Hatzlacha to be able to teach to our children and all of Klal Yisrael his Torah so that we can be an AM SHEKULO TZADDIKIM! AMEN! Shabat Shalom

Shabat Shalom Enjoy Bringing Many Korbanot

Today's Shabat Message has been sponsored by Eliyahu Tzvi Ben Rachel in the Zechut of his helping spread Hashem's word, Hashem should shower him and his entire family with Brachot both in Ruchniut and Gashmiut Bechinam AMEN!!!
"...then she shall take two turtledoves or two young doves, one for a burnt-offering and one for a sin offering."(12:8 Rashi comments that in the order of the Korbanot of the mother following childbirth, the sin-offering precedes the burnt-offering, though the Torah writes of the burnt-offering first. To determine the rationale for this ruling, we must explain the reason for these two sacrifices. The sin-offering is brought because, perhaps as a result of the pain of labor, a woman intended never to have intimacy with her husband so that she would not have to suffer the agony of childbirth. Even if one is certain that she did not verbalize her thoughts with an oath, she must, nevertheless, bring a sin-offering.
The reason for the burnt-offering is that a woman is required to know that the goal of all education is for the child to understand that he belongs entirely to Hashem, and that everything -- life, livelihood and all one has -- is a gift from Hashem. Since this is the goal, the Torah teaches us the laws of the burnt-offering before those of a sin-offering. The burnt-offering is totally consumed on the Altar, thus indicating that all belongs to Hashem. However, in order to come to reach that understanding, one must be meticulous with his deeds, to make sure that they are not tainted with any faults, and, if something improper does occur, to repent immediately. Therefore, in practice, the sin-offering is the first one to be sacrificed.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Tazria, Derush Daled)
Today being that we do not have the Beit Hamikdash, we are not able to bring Korbanot on the Altar. Our Rabbis tell us that our tables are our Altars today. The way to bring a sacrifice today is through Hachnasat Orchim. The way to show Hashem that you know everything comes from Him, and thank Him, is to invite many people from all different backgrounds to your house. The food that is eaten on your table, is considered a Korban in Shamayim! In the zechut of our bringing many Korbanot on our "altars" Hashem should bless us to be able to bring Korbanot on the real Altar in the Beit Hamikdash Bekarov AMEN AMEN AMEN BECHINAM SHABAT SHALOM!!

The Torah does not provide general criteria to help us determine the Kashrut status of birds. Instead, it simply lists the species of nonkosher birds, including the stork, which the Torah calls, "Chassidah" Rashi Hakadosh explains that the name of this bird is associated with the word Chesed, which means "kindness": Why is it called Chassidah? Because it shows kindness toward members of its own species, providing them with food.
The Chidushei HaRim find this interpretation difficult to understand, since the reason the Torah prohibits the consumption of nonkosher animals is that, along with the proteins and nutrients, man absorbs the characteristics of the food he eats. Most nonkosher animals possess evil traits that are anathema to the Jewish soul and psyche. Yet, according to Rashi Hakadosh, the stork exemplifies the most praiseworthy trait of all --kindness. Why then, is it designated as nonkosher?
The Chidushei HaRim points out that the stork behaves kindly only toward members of its own species, and, he explains this type of behavior is not true kindness, for it is a natural human instinct to help one's next of kin. The test of true kindness is whether one helps complete strangers, who do not necessarily share one's outlook on life.(Ner Uziel, Parashat Shemini, Derush Chet)
This Shabat lets break all barriers and perform true kindness. If you are sephardic invite an Ashkenaz person to your house for the meal and if you Chassidic invite a Litvak to yours etc. In this way we will be zoche to a Shabat filled with Gefilte Fish, Lachmasheen, Patcha, Cholent and Kibe...and this will give a great Nachat Ruach to Hashem who will love to see that all his children are getting together and this will rid the world of Sinat Chinam and help bring the Geula Shelaima Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN! To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message is sponsored by Eliyahu Tzvi Ben Rachel, in this great zechut he should be zoche to find his zivug bekarov, and they should both be zoche to build a bayit shalom and neeman byisrael and have beautiful zara chaya vkayama who will grow up to be talmidai chachamim and baatei Torah! AMEN Bechinam!
"...and he commits one of them..."(4:2)
In describing the circumstances which result in the obligation to bring a chatat(sin-offering), the Torah uses the words "me'achat me'henah" The plain meaning of these words is that the person did "one of them," "them" being certain proscribed acts. However, the literal meaning would be "of one of them." Chazal derive several rules from this unusual wording. One is that the laws of Shabat are comprised of both "Avot" and "Toldot" These are the primary and principle categories of forbidden work and their derivative subcategories. Another is that sometimes a person is liable to bring many sacrifices for his many sins -- where he knew it was Shabat but did not remember that his acts were forbidden, and that sometimes a person brings one sacrifice for many acts -- where he knew that such acts were forbidden on Shabat -- but he forgot that the day was Shabat.(Gemara Shabat Daf 70a)
These lessons can be applied in everyday life. A person must establish "Avot" he must clearly set out for himself what is important in life, and then make sure that all the many branches of his life stem from those fundamental principles. This is true in his own study and actions and also in his teaching and interactions with his students. Similarly, he must see to it that all of his actions are done in accordance with "one" principle, and that the "one" should be the basis of the many -- that all his traits should be developed and used to attain the goal of walking the path of the just and doing good deeds.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah II, Parashat Vayikra, Derush 2)
We must make sure that we take the "one" and let it be the basis of the many. "One" can refer to the one day of the week: Shabat. We must take the Kedusha of Shabat and let it spread over all the "many" days of the week. And not the opposite: letting the "many" days of the week influence our "one" Kadosh day. To do this we must make the "one" special, by making it memorable. Lets pack our Shabat with Divrei Torah, singing, amazing food, and much Kedusha. In this zechut we should be zoche to have the Kedusha of Shabat overflow to the days of the week! AMEN! Bechinam! Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom VChodesh Tov!
To all Jews:
"The hundred talents of silver were to cast the sockets of the Sanctuary and the sockets of the Partition."(38:27)
It is noteworthy that each and every Jew donated a uniform half-shekel for the sockets, no more no less. To understand this, we can say that the sockets, upon which the entire structure of the Mishkan rested, symbolized the Emunah(faith) of the Jews, the foundation upon which the Sanctuary was built. When it comes to Emunah, all Jews must be on equal footing, for anyone whose faith is deficient cannot possibly bring into his home the Kedusha that must reside in a genuine Torah home. His good deeds will be be faulted, as will the upbringing he gives his children and descendants, and all his other activities.
Therefore, each of us must strive to strengthen his own faith and that of those around him, for only when our faith is complete is it possible to talk of performing any of the Mitzvot properly. Perhaps this is the meaning of Chazals' saying (Makkot 24a) that the Navi(prophet) Habakkuk came and them (the Mitzvot) on one Mitzvah; a Tzaddik lives on his faith. Only someone who is solid in his faith can be a Tzaddik, for unless one's performance of Mitzvot is based on the strong faith that the same G-d Who created the world and everything in it also commanded us to do the Mitzvot, then the Mitzvot he does will have no lasting value.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Pekudai, Derush 3)
Unfortunately there are a lot people out there who lack true faith in Hashem. It is our job to open their eyes to our amazing Father in Heaven. Chanoch Lanar Al Pi Darko(educate each child according to his way). If you are someone who has amazing singing and ruach at your house on Shabat then invite people who enjoy singing and show them how to use singing to get closer to Hashem. If you are an intellectual then use that intellect this Shabat to educate people who are uneducated in the realm of Torah. Each person knows his talents and should use them to enhance his fellow Jew's Emunah! In the zechut of all of us working on our and everyone Jew's Emunah we should be zoche to Masiach Tzidkainu and the rebuilding of the third and final Beit Hamikdash Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN Shabat Shalom VChodesh Tov!

Shabat Shalom Use Your Talents!
To All Jews:
"See! -- Hashem has proclaimed by name Bezazel son of Uri son of Hur, of the tribe of Yehuda. He has filled him with G-dly spirit, with wisdom, insight, and knowledge and with every craft."(35:30-31
HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein Ztl asks: Why did Moshe think the people would be able to see that Hashem had chosen Bezazel; and why should his appointment be any more visible than that of Aharon, concerning which there is no mention of seeing?
To understand this, we must be aware that anyone who has special talents, such as Bezazel's artistry, has to realize that Hashem gave him these talents only to use them to do His will, either on behalf of the Jewish people or directly to increase His honor in the world. The fact that the Torah does not explicitly obligate him to use them in this way is only because Hashem wishes him to have free will, but this is still the reason he was created with these gifts. If he fails to do what is expected of him, Chas Vshalom, eventually he will be called to account for misusing his talents.
With this in mind, our Pasuk becomes simple to understand. Moshe knew that the people could see with their eyes that Hashem had called upon Bezazel to construct the Mishkan from the very fact that he had been given all the talents and gifts necessary to do so -- G-dly spirit, with wisdom, insight, and knowledge, and with every craft.
From this we learn that anyone to whom Hashem granted gifts -- be they in the realm of wisdom, strength, riches or possessions -- has them only in order to do Hashem's will. Although we may see people who fail to use their assets for their indented purposes, this is only because the workings of free will allow them to misuse their gifts: Eventually the wealthy man will have to account to Hashem for how he used his wealth, whether for Tzedaka and Torah institutions or for the increasingly technically advanced frivolties the world has to offer, and the person with intellectual talents will have to explain whether he fulfilled his potential for learning Torah and disseminating it or squandered it on diversions, however sophisticated and stimulating and secular pursuits, or simply frittered it away through laziness.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Vayakel, Derush 6)
Baruch Hashem we have all been blessed with many different amazing talents. Unfortunately during the week many of us are not in situations where we can truly use our talents for what they were given to us to do. Shabat is an ideal time to use our talents for what they were indented. A person who has much patience should sit and learn Torah with someone who cant understand it that quickly, a lively person should have an oneg Shabat with much singing and ruach in his house to make sure that kids have a safe place to hang out, a wealthy person should find a shiur or oneg Shabat in which they can sponsor food or supplies and this way he can take part in a Mitzvah which he himself couldn't do. Each person must look into himself and see what his talents are and utilize them in his service of his Creator. Shabat is a time when the pressures of the week and the time constraits are off, so use the time wisely! Lets all us our amazing talents that Hashem has given us to do our part in bringing Mashiach Tzidkainu Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN! Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom TO ALLLLL JEWS!!!
To All Jews:
"He remained there with Hashem for forty days and forty nights...and He wrote on the Tablets"(34:28)
HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein ztl asks Why did Moshe Rabeinu have to spend an additional forty days on the Mount just to receive the second tablets? He already learned the entire Torah the first forty days.
The reason, we suggest, is that although he had learned the entire Torah once, that was before the Chet HaEgel, when the people were still in a state of purity and kedusha after receiving the Torah. Now, however, as a result of their fall from that lofty level, their leader needed not only to review everything he had learned, but to relearn it with greater intensity and force in order to have the power to lead a generation that had sinned. Perhaps this is the Torah's intent in saying that Noach was a Tzaddik even in his lowly generations, since it requires much more effort to be a leader and an influence in a generation of sinners.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Ki Sisa, Derush 7)
Unfortunately in our times many people have fallen off the path. It is our job to help them and influence them to come back to the correct path. Unlike previous generations we must learn Torah differently. The past generations learned it all in the Beit Hamidrash, and if a person wanted to learn they had to come to the Beit Midrash. Today we must bring the Torah to the people. The Great Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach once said "we need more street rabbis!" We must use every opportunity to bring Hashem's children back to Him. This can include inviting people who do not know much about Shabat to your Shabat table, or an Oneg Shabat with much singing and Divrai Torah, that will be loud enough to rip through all the filth and reach their amazing Neshamot and connect them to their source! We all have the power to bring back Hashem's children we just have to realize that its a bit harder in a generation of sinners! But it can be done, we all just must work hard and put all our resources together and together with Hashem's help we will be successful! AMEN! This Shabat should be filled with Hashem's lost children finding their way to Him! AMEN! In this amazing zechut we should be zoche to accept Mashiach the way we did the Torah KISH ECHAD BLEV ECHAD AMEN BECHINAM!!!!!SHABAT SHALOM

Shabat Shalom Even The Great Clean Up!
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message has been sponsored anonmously to be a merit to anyone who needs help in their parnasa. Hashem should bless them all with amazing Hatzlacha bechinam!
"With them you shall dress Aaron your brother and his sons with him."(28:41) Is it not amazing that Moshe Rabeinu himself was commanded to dress Aaron and his children in the priestly garments, a task normally performed for someone by his servant? Surely the Torah does not mean that Moshe was a servant to Aaron and his sons! HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein ztl says that we must understand, however, that the dressing of Aaron and his sons in the priestly garments was the act that sanctified them as Kohanim and made them fit to serve in the Mishkan, for which they required a higher level of Kedusha than the firstborn sons had needed for their service until then. Only Moshe Rabeinu who at the time wielded the same authority as the Great Sanhedrin which consisted of seventy-one Sages(Sanhedrin 16b) possessed the power to impart such an exalted sanctity. Even the Sanhedrin appoointed by Moshe did not have this power, since as his students they were not allowed to exercise such functions when he was available. Similarly, the anointing of the Mishkan and its vessels, which later could be done only by the Great Sanhedrin(Sanhedrin 2a) was done only through Moshe and no one else during his lifetime.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah Parasat Tetzaveh Derush 6)
In my humble opinion I think there is another lesson to be learned here: When it comes to Ruchniut, even the great must lower themselves to do menial tasks. This can include cleaning up the Beit Hamidrash, putting away siddurim after Tefilla, cleaning up a room before a shiur etc. If Moshe Rabeinu wasn't too big to do a small task then we definitely are not too big or important. This Shabat if someone asks you to help with something that you think is below think for a second and realize that this small mitzvah is great in Hashem's eyes. With this great zechut we should all be zoche to great anava and perfection of our Neshamot, and the Geula Shelaima Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN BECHINAM SHABAT SHALOM!

To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message was sponsored by Eliyahu Tzvi Ben Rachel and in the zechut of this great Mitzvah he should be zoche to find his Zivug and they should both be zoche to build a bayit shalom and neeman byisrael and have beautiful zara chaya vkayama amen bechinam!
The Torah says: Happy is the person who hearkens to Me, frequenting my gates daily[literally day, day], waiting at the posts of my doors.(Mishlei 8:34)
At night, forces of evil roam the world, to vanish with daybreak. On Shabat night these forces of evil have no power. Hence the night of Shabat is like daybreak, and Shabat is considered a "day, day" -- a double day. The Torah says: "Happy is the person who hearkens to Me" to make Torah study his vocation. But I do not demand this, for people need to earn a living. I do ask, though, that every Jew frequent my gates -- the Beit Midrash -- on Shabat. Shabat is the source of blessing from it comes all the sustenance a person receives on weekdays. "Shabat and Yom Tov were given to the people of Israel only to study Torah" (Shabat 15:3) By studying Torah on Shabat, we prepare our sustenance for the weekdays. Hashem chose Shabat as the prime time for Torah study. He commanded Moshe to gather the people into large groups on Shabat and appoint scholars to teach them Torah(Yalkut Shemoni 408) Free of the distractions of mundane affairs, we can apply our minds to Torah and grasp part of its wonders. Some people, however, see Shabat merely as a vacation from work. Instead of opening a sefer or attending a shiur, they while away the time jesting, playing games, or taking walks. They are like Reuven in the following story:
A poor man named Reuven walking through the town. Unknown to him, his wealthy friend Shimon was planning to help him out without compromising Reuven's dignity. Shimon calculated how long it would take Reuven to reach the street where Shimon's own house stood. Now he peered out the window The coast was clear. Smiling to himself, Shimon tossed a purse full of gold coins into the middle of the street for Reuven to find. Meanwhile a strange thought entered Reuven's head. "How do the blind walk through the streets?" he wondered. "There is only one way to find out," he decided. He closed his eyes -- and walked through Shimon's street without ever seeing the gold coins. Shabat is a time when a person can find a great treasure -- the Torah's wonderful teachings. If he goes through Shabat blindly, he will miss the treasure.(Ben Ish Hayyil 3, HaGadol 3)
Holy Jews lets not walk through life blindly, lets open our eyes and see all the beautiful gifts Hashem has given us. Baruch Hashem we live in a time when it is not against the law to learn Torah in public, lets enjoy this privilege. There are many great inspiring shiurim, going on in many Jewish communities, find out where they are and open your eyes to the inspiration! A great way to spread Torah is by inviting guests(maybe even ones who dont sound act or look like you) and give a dvar Torah. From a simple Dvar Torah you can inspire a Jew soul to want to come back to its source! We should all be zoche to spead Hashem's amazing Torah to all Jews from all different backgrounds and in that way we will once again accept the Torah K'ISH ECHAD BLEV ECHAD! Shabat Shalom!!

Shabat Shalom To Our Three Wives
To all Jews:
Aaron was in a dilemma. Unable to find a solution to his problem, he decided to consult Rabbi Binyamin, a wise and righteous man.
"Rebbe," he said to the tzaddik, "I have three wives, but none of them pleases me. I don't like the way they behave and am afraid that they will have an evil influence over me. Tell me, what I must do?
What are their names? asked the rabbi. "One is called Desire, another is Jealousy and the third is Honor."
"In that case," replied the rabbi, "you must divorce them all before they drive you out of your own home! Don't you remember what the Tanna Rabbi Elazar Hakapar said in Pirke Avot? 'Desire, Jealousy and Honor drive a person out of this world?'"
"But Rebbe," explained Aaron, "I cannot divorce them for each of them knows how to prepare a certain medicine which I need for my health and I have no other way of obtaining it. I cannot keep them in my house because of their harmful effect upon me. And besides, I cannot divorce them because of the difficult terms of their marriage contracts!"
"What are the terms?" "My first wife, Desire, has a clause in her wedding contract which states that upon divorce, I must fill her pocket with dinarim. To my ill fortune, that pocket is elastic. No matter how much I put in, the coins fall to the bottom and stretch the pocket so that it is always half empty with room for more. I will never be able to fill it to the top."
"You are right," agreed Rabbi Binyamin, "Chazal said that a person never dies having satisfied half of his desires. For a person has one hundred coins, he wants two hundred. If he possesses two hundred, he desires four hundred. What are the terms of the second wife's marriage contract?"
"There is a clause in Jealousy's contract that if I divorce her, I must provide her with clothing and jewelry equal to those of her wealthiest friends. This wife of mine is always out visiting her rich friends or going to parties where she sees other women bedecked in their finest. When she returns home, she demands a costly dress like the one she saw so-and-so wear, or golden jewelry like another flaunted, or pearls and diamonds like that of yet another. How can I provide such demands?"
"You are right. Jealousy has no limit or end." agreed Rabbi Binyamin. "Who can ever satisfy her demands and wishes? And what about the third? What are the terms of her Ketuba?
Aaron sighed deeply and said, "Ah...the third one, Honor. Her contract obliges me to see that she will always be seated among the most distinguished and respected ladies and that she outshine them all. Everyone must shower her with compliments and glorify her above her companions. And when she is among intelligent and educated women, they must bow before her superiority. Among beautiful women, she must the loveliest. If I were able to satisfy her yearning to be the richest among the rich, I would only be fulfilling one part of her contract, but would be helpless when it came to having her hailed as the most clever, well born, or prettiest. What am I to do if she is none of those three? How could I possibly mend those failings? Can I buy wisdom, breeding or beauty for her? And so you see, I can never satisfy her, either. What am I to do Rabbi?
"Your situation reminds me of a person who had many laying hens. He was very happy with their eggs, but the damage caused by the chickens outweighed their benefit. They wandered about the yard and into the house where they roamed freely, upsetting bowls and pots, breaking dishes and soiling the furniture. What do you think that man should have done with his hens?"
"Lock them up in a chicken coop!" he replied without hesitation. "Then he could still gather up the eggs and not suffer any damage."
"True! True!" agreed Rabbi Binyamin, "and that is exactly what you must do. Desire, Jealousy and Honor have a purpose in the world. You must make use of them. Tell me, Aaron, how can you enjoy your Shabbat and Yom Tov if you ignore desire and don't enjoy good food? As for jealousy -- you are surely aware that when scholars are jealous of one another, kinat sofrim, they learn better. It stimulates them to study harder and do more good deeds. As for the impulse for honor and respect, that also has a place and purpose. Sometimes a person is prevented from sinning because he is afraid of losing his respect in the eyes of the world. So you see, you cannot drive out these wives. Rather, like the hens you must confine them. You must restrain them and be constantly on your guard lest you harbor false Desire, negative Jealousy or forbidden craving for Honor."(Mashalim Shel Ha Ben Ish Hai, 51-54, Artscroll)
A wife is called an Ezer Kenegdo, sometimes she is a helper and sometimes she is against you. It is our choice how we want her to be. We must decide to make the three wives that Hashem gave us and use them to serve Him. Lets use our wife Desire to buy nice clothing and good food for Shabat, and share that food with someone who does not look act or sound like us. Lets use our wife Jealously to be jealous of the Talmidai Chachamim's knowledge of Torah and connection to Hashem, and use this Shabat to learn Hashem's Torah and build a stronger connection with Him. And for our third wife Honor, we must remember always that we are children of the King, and we must act like royalty. When our evil inclination comes to us to do something wrong lets remember our wife Honor and realize we must act respectful like royalty. We should all be zoche to have a great Shabat filled with great food, amazing Torah and the true feeling of royalty. In this zechut we should be zoche to bring Mashiach Tzidkainu Bmhaira Vyamainu and learn Hashem's Torah under the Ohr HaGanus basking in the Zif HaShechinah AMEN! Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom Hatzlacha In Your Torah Learning!
To all Jews:
"The entire people saw the thunder"(20:15)
Rashi comments on this pasuk that at the time of the Revelation the people "saw that which is audible, which is impossible to see elsewhere" For what purpose did Hashem perform this seemingly unnecessary miracle?
HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein ZTL explains that Hashem wished to teach the Bnei Yisrael an important lesson in how to properly approach Torah study. It is not sufficient for a person to have a superficial understanding of the Torah. Rather a person must strive, using all of his energies and intellectual abilities, to understand the lessons of the Torah clearly -- as if they were spelled out to him in front of his very eyes. The common ability to hear thunder represents a simple level of understanding, the miraculous ability to actually see thunder -- that represents the level of understanding for which we must reach.
While this should be a goal for anyone involved in Torah study, it is especially necessary for those whose responsibility it is to teach others. Parents who teach their children, Rabbis who must judge and lead their congregations -- if they will themselves reach this high level of clarity, they will then be able to give their knowledge over to others in an equally clear manner.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Yitro, Derush Daled)
Hashem gave us an amazing gift: a day when we are not allowed to work or think of anything other than holy matters. We should use this gift by spending it learning Torah and delving in it. This will give us a better understanding of Hashem's holy Torah, and will enable us to answer our children's and student's better during the week when we don't have as much time to look up and study the sources. Hashem should bless us with a Shabat filled with much clarity in our Torah study. We should move one step closer to the geula, by inviting someone who does not look sound or act like us and in this great zechut we should be zoche to rid this world of sinat chinam and bring Mashiach Tzidkainu. One tiny gesture from every Jew can take us out of this horrible galut and allow us to learn Hashem's awesome Torah in Gan Eden basking in the Zif HaShechinah under the Ohr Haganus. AMEN!

Shabat Shalom Time To Take The First Step
To All Jews:
"Hashem said to Moshe Rabeinu, "Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the children of Israel and let them go forth"(14:15) Why does Hashem seem to criticize Moshe for davening to Him; is it not praiseworthy to ask for Hashem's help in every situation, especially one as desperate as that of the Jews at the Yam Zuf? HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein Ztl says However, Moshe knew that Hashem would not have performed such miracles as He had in taking the Jews out of Mitzrayim for naught, and therefore there should have been no question in his mind that the Jews would survive to enter Eretz Yisrael and not be obliterated in the Wilderness.
From this we me derive a valuable lesson for those engaged in disseminating Torah, and indeed, we are told that anyone capable of teaching Torah is required to do so. Just as Moshe knew that Hashem would surely rescue the Jews from the Mitzri armies pressing them against the sea, so also a Torah educator must know that since Hashem has promised that Torah will not be forgotten by the Jewish people(See Devarim, 31:21) his efforts will not fail...(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah, Parashat Beshalach, Derush Daled)
We all have an obligation to teach our children Torah. Many times it can become extremely difficult, especially when it seems our children couldn't care less. We must remember the words of the Holy Rabeinu Yona in Shaarei Teshuvah, who says that if we open a needle sized hole, Hashem will open up a hole the size that wagons can go through. Just like Nachshon went into the water and did his Hishtadlut, and then Hashem helped him. We must do our Hishtadlut and give Hashem something to bless, after we have done something, even something small we can then daven to Hashem and say can you bless "this" thing that I did. Pirke Avot tells us Lo Alecha Hadavar Ligmor its not on us to finish the job, all we have to do is start and Hashem will take care of the rest. Start learning a couple of minutes with your child and daven to Hashem for help, and he will then have something to bless and Hashem will shower it with Hatzlacha. From five minutes of Chumash once a week, a short while later you will be shocked to realize that you just finished your first Meshechet Gemara with your child, and that is priceless. After Nachshon went in with full bitachon Hashem did something as amazing as Kriyat Yam Zuf, the same will happen when we step in and start small with full bitachon that Hashem will help.
To bring Mashiach we must rid this world of Sinat Chinam so lets all do our small contribution by inviting someone who doesn't look act or sound like us to our houses for Shabat, and with everyone contributing their small amount we will be zoche to rid this world of Sinat Chinam and bring Mashiach Tzidkainu Bmhaira Vyamainu, and be able to learn Torah in Gan Eden under the Ohr Haganuz basking in the Zif HaShechinah AMEN SHABAT SHALOM!!!!

Shabat Shalom We Love You Father!
To All Jews:
Bo El Paraoh Ki Ani Chichbadeti et Levavo Vet Lev Avdav--Come to Paraoh, for I have made his heart and the hearts of his servants stubborn(10:1) HaGaon Rav Moshe Feinstein Ztl asks: Why did Hashem mention hardening Paraoh's heart at this point? It seems following the plague of Barad(hail), Paraoh for the first time felt sincere remorse over his earlier behavior, as he told Moshe (9:27) Hashem is the Righteous One, and I and my people are the wicked ones. After each of the plagues he had agreed to let the Jews serve Hashem in the wilderness only out of fear of further plagues, but inside he still believed he was right. Now, even though recognized that justice was with Hashem and he was wrong, he still prevented the Jews from leaving once again because Hashem had hardened his heart. In our verse, then, Hashem was telling Moshe Rabeinu that there was nothing to complain about in Paraoh's behavior. Basically, certain people are so wicked that Hashem punishes them by taking away their free choice, since He knows that they would not repent out of love for Him and really want to revert to their wicked ways. Thus, Hashem chose to explain all this to Moshe now so that there would be no complaints as His conduct, and so that posterity would better understand His ways and have complete faith in Him.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah Parashat Bo, Derush Bet) Baruch Hashem none of us are that wicked that Hashem had to take away our free choice. There are two ways that we can do Teshuva: Teshuva M'Yirah=Teshuva out of fear of being punished and Teshuva M'Ahava=Teshuva out of our love for Hashem. The first one just erases our wrongdoings but the latter turns them into good deeds. To do Teshuva M'Ahava we have to build a connection with Hashem and show him we love him. By keeping Shabat and spending it praying to our Father in Heaven, learning His Torah, and with his children(every kind of child no matter what they look act or sound like) we will show Hashem that we care and truly love him! A Shabat filled with Tefilla Torah Zemirot and All of Brothers and Sisters will show everyone that we are truly the Children of the King of Kings! Shabat Shalom Kids We Love You!
To all Holy Jews:
Vaydaber Elokim El Moshe Vayomer Elav Ani Hashem--And G-d spoke to Moshe and said to him I am Hashem!(6:2) Rashi Hakadosh comments Hashem spoke to Moshe Rabeinu with words of rebuke for speaking harshly and saying: "Why have you harmed this people?" Rav Moshe Feinstein ZTL says that Rashi's deduction is apparently based upon the juxtaposition of the term Vayidaber a word usually used to indicate harsh speech, and the use of "Elokim" the name of Hashem that denotes justice. It is interesting to note that in the very same verse, in connection with the same conversation, we find the use of the word Vayomer, the term used to denote softer, more compassionate speech. From this apparent discrepancy in the verse's terminology, we can learn an important lesson in the proper method to use when it is necessary to rebuke your fellow man. While it may be necessary to use harsh words, it is also necessary to immediately follow them with words of compassion and consolation. As the Gemara tells us in Ketubot Daf 103b it is at times necessary to "strike dread into the disciples", yet it is equally necessary to speak and act with compassion.(Darash Moshe Al HaTorah II, Parashat Va'eira, Derush Alef) All of us work extremely hard during the week and to our kids it seems that all we do is either work or rebuke them. "Dad works all day and comes home to yell at me for doing poorly in school" Hashem in his infinite kindness gave us a day off from work. Let us use this day to show our children how much we truly love them, and that we do not rebuke them out of hate, rather out of love and a desire to see them succeed. We should also use this amazing gift that Hashem gave us as a tool to bring Mashiach, by inviting guests who might not sound look or act like us into our homes, for a meal filled with Torah, Zemirot and much Kedusha! Growing up in a house that has this practice will help our children truly keep the commandment Ve'ahavta L'Reacha Kamocha, and with all the Jews together as one as we were at Matan Torah K'Ish Echad B'Lev Echad, Hashem will take out of this painful galut and bring us Mashiach Tzidakainu AMEN! To All Jews:
"And Yosef was in Egypt"(1:5) Rashi comments that his Pasuk reveals Yosef's greatness. The Yosef who tended to his father's flocks was the same Yosef who became king of Mitzrayim, and remained steadfast in his righteousness. If this is the intent of our pasuk, however, it seems out of place here, especially since we have already been told of Yosef's accomplishments at the end of Beraishit. Rabbi Moshe Feinstein Z"TL says that we may understand it however, in its context. The first Pasuk informs us how precious Yosef's brothers were to Hashem because they were with Yaakov Avinu, meaning that Yaakov had raised them and taught them his ways. Now we are told that Yosef was also dear to Hashem because even in Egypt, he reached the prnnacle of righteousness for which his education at Yaakov's hands had prepared him, an education so effective that throughout his stay in Mitzrayim his father's countenance remained constantly before his eyes.(Beraishit 48:5) guiding him and setting an example for him.(Darash Moshe, Parashat Shemot, Derush Bet) After a certain age we must let our children go, and live on their own. This leaves us a limited amount of time to truly educate our children, and set an example for them for the future. A perfect time for this is Shabat Kodesh, we can show them that Shabat is important to us by preparing good food, by wearing nice clean clothing, by singing zemirot, by learning Torah at the table and by inviting guests into our homes. These things may seem small but will have an everlasting great impression on our children's lives. Please invite someone who might not look or act or speak like you into your homes for Shabat and your children will see that every Jew is important, and we should love them all no matter what they look like. In the zechut of this amazing act, we should all be zoche to rid this world of sinat chinam and bring Mashiach Tzidainu Bmhaira Vyamainu Amen! Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom To The Chosen Nation
To All Jews:
"Veshachavti Im Avotai, For I will lie down with my fathers"(47:30) Rashi comments that Yaakov used this expression to refer to his death, rather than to his burial. Rabbi Moshe Feinstein Zt"l asks Why did he speak of death in these terms? We can say that the Torah wishes to inform us that certain very great men embody the best qualities of the era that they live in. As long as they are alive, it is as if their great predecessors are also still alive, and when they die, it is as if an entire generation dies with them, because there is no one left to exemplify the stature of that generation. So it was with Yaakov Avinu, as long as he lived, the greatness of Avraham adn Yitzchak lived on in him, but when he passed away the greatness passed away with him...(Darash Moshe, Parashat Vayechi, Derush 3) We are fortunate to have some survivors of the horrible Holocaust still with us. These are people who in the face of Gehenoim stood strong and fought to keep the Torah and Mitzvot and keep a connection with their father in Heaven. With them still here we still have that greatness and the greatness of that generation with us. Baruch Hashem we are able to practice Yidishkeit openly and are able to serve Hashem freely without fearing for our lives. The Nazis tried their hardest to rid this world of the Chosen nation, but Hashem didn't let them, because He loves us. Lets show Him that we feel the same and show Him how much we love His children by inviting them into our homes for a great Shabat meal filled with Kedusha, Torah, Zmirot and amazing food! In this zechut we should all be zoche to see the coming of Mashiach and the building of the Third and Final Beit Hamikdash in our days AMEN!!! Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom VChanuka Sameach
Holy Jews:
While Yosef Hatzadik was in prison, his cellmates were the chief butler and the chief baker of the King of Egypt. One morning both of them came Yosef and asked him to interpret for them the dreams that they had had during that night. Yosef replied that only Hashem could interpret a dream, but it might be that Hashem would reveal the true meaning of their dreams through him, and therefore he agreed to listen to their story.(Vayesh, Translation from Dubno Maggid and his Meshalim) In my humble opinion I think one of the crucial lessons that we can learn out from this pasuk is, that if we trust and believe that everything comes from Hashem, then we will be zoche to many secrets and miracles done for us. Hashem pays back for every good thing that we do, mida keneged mida. If we act Mayla Min Hateva(Above nature) and Levnim Meshurat Hadin(beyond the requirements of the Law) then Hashem will pay us back accordingly. The Ramak in his Sefer Tomer Devorah says that there are two ways that we can act, according to the way of Yaakov(Titen Emet L'Yaakov[grant truth to Yaakov] or according to the way of Avraham (Chessed L'Avraham [Kindness to Avraham] if we act according to Emet L'Yaakov according to the strict letter of the law then Hashem will deal with us in the same way exacting strict justice upon us. If we on the other hand act like Chessed L'Avraham and go beyond the letter of the law, then Hashem will act toward us with kindness and mercy and not according to the strict justice of the Law. We light eight lights on Chanuka. The number six represents this lowly world. Then number seven represents the holiness of this world(Shabat). Eight represents above nature.Chanuka teaches us that we should always look to go beyond the letter of the law and show Hashem that we are not his servants yet his children and that is a higher level. If we act toward Hashem as a Father then he will treat us as his children and shower us with Brachot. Lets bring this holy Shabat Chanuka in Mayla Min Hateva and show Hashem that we love being his children and love all his children so please invite someone who does not look or act like you into to your home and show Hashem that you care for his children and will care for you AMEN! The lights of Chanuka should bring much light into our homes and fill them with awesome Kedusha and Torah(which is the REAL light) Shabat Shalom and Chanuka Sameach!

To All Jews:
This Shabat Message has been dedicated by Eliyahu Tzvi Rosenberg, and in the zechut of his spreading Torah he should be zoche to a year filled with Shefa Bracha Vhatzlacha Rabbah bechinam both in ruchniut and in gashmiut. He should also be zoche to a year filled with much amazing Parnasa Amen! Chazal teach us that there are two steps to the final redemption, and the first will be lead by a descendant of Yosef HaTzadik, "Mashiach Ben Yosef" and the second will be lead by a descendant of David HaMelech. The first stage will be lead by the tribe of Yosef because of his commitment to the Mitzvah of Kivud Av. The Rabbis teach us that the reason that the Galut of Esav has been able to last as long as it has, is due to Esav's commitment to the Mitzvah of Kivud Av. He used to go out and risk his life to get his father good meat, and he would only serve his father in his Shabat clothing. To be able to combat with this great zechut we must fight with the same tool. We must honor and respect our parents. When Hashem sees that we have taken it upon ourselves to fulfill Kivud Av to the higest standards, we will then have neutralized the power of Esav and He then can bring us out of Esav's galut, and into the Geula Shelaima Bmhaira Vyamainu. Let us spend this Shabat showing our parents how much we love, respect and honor them, we should all find one thing that we can do this week to show our parents how much we love, respect and honor them. Each parent is different and likes and appreciates different things, find out what your parents like and bless them by doing it. In the zechut of this amazing Mitzvah we should all be zoche to see the coming of Mashiach Tzidkainu and the building of the third and final Beit Hamikdash Bmhaira Vyamainu AMEN! Dont be afraid to say I love you mom and dad! Shabat Shalom

Shabat Shalom Bring Hashem's Children Back Please
To all Jews:
The Holy Awesome Dubno Maggid, was a little overawed at the thought of visiting the Great Amazing Awesome Rabbi of VIlna, whom Jews throughout the world honored as the Rabbinic genius of the age. He became even more frightened when the Gaon(Great Sage) welcomed him with a hearty handclasp and said to him: "I am told that you are a famous Maggid who can speak to the very hearts of those who listen. Now from time to time, like anyone else, I am in need of admonition. Therefore, I beg of you, give me a lesson in Mussar(Ethics) for I need it badly."(If one of the Greatest Sages of all time understood that even he wasn't above receiving Mussar, how much more so must we who are no where close realize that we need to constantly receive lessons in Mussar) Dumbfounded, the Maggid asked for a few minutes grace. How could he the country preacher from Dubno, presume to lecture the most eminent scholar of the age? Was it his place to attempt to move the heart of so great a man? In the end he gathered his courage and began: "In this week's Parasha(Weekly portion of the Torah) -- it was Vayera -- we read that Hashem said to Avaraham; If there are only fifty righteous men in the midst of the city of Sodom, I will save her. Now what does the Torah mean by explicitly mentioning "in the midst of the city?" (Bereshit 18:26) Hashem says: "It is not pleasing to Me to see righteous men living in seclusion, and pouring over My sacred teachings in the privacy of their homes without taking any notice of the troubles and sorrows of their neighbors. I need men who are outstanding, but who will not stand apart from their neighbors. I need men who will live in the very midst of the city not only in body but also in spirit, who will devote their energies to being a good influence on their fellow men and who will work to the end that the entire community should live in keeping the commandments." The Goan sadly nodded his head for the reprimand had found its mark. He knew that he did not readily mix with others and had taken little interest in the affairs of the community. This was part of his greatness, but it was also a grave weakness for a man of his stature. And the venerable Gaon of Vilna bowed his head and shed tears of genuine repentance.(The Maggid M'Dubo and his Mashalim188) Throughout the week we work with people, and when Shabat comes we say its time for my alone time and spend many hours alone sleeping or learning by ourselves. The Dubno Maggid is telling us Shabat is the perfect time to spend quality time with people and show them you care about them. We can invite people to your house and show them an amazing Kedusha filled Shabat meal, filled with good food, singing and dvrai Torah. There are countless stories of people who were chozer bteshuva after experiencing a Shabat meal. We have the power to return many lost Neshamot to Hashem with a little cholent, lachma basheen, kibe, gefilte fish etc. Imagine a father whose child is missing, when a person brings back that child, the father feels indebted to that person forever. Imagine how much Hashem would appreciate it, if we returned his missing children! This Shabat lets invite someone who looks, sounds or acts different than us to our houses for an amazing Kedusha filled meal. In the zechut of returning Hashem's children to Him, we should all be zoche to a week filled with amazing Shefa Bracha Vhatzlacha Rabbah! AMEN Shabat Shalom!

Shabat Shalom Enjoy Your Diamond
To All Jews:
This week's Shabat Message
"And Yaakov gave Esav bread and pottage of Lentils; and he ate and
drank, and rose up, and went his way. So Esav despised his
birthright."(Berashit; 25:24)
Thius does the Torah tell us how lightly Esav esteemed his bechora.
But we ask why the Torah's account should go into so much detail,
stating that Esav ate and drank, and rose and went on his way. Is not
all this superfluous and irrelevant?
Not al all, says the Holy Dubno Maggid, and he proceeds to explain his
answers by means of a pithy Mashal. A person who owns an article of
great value, such as lets say a diamond, and gives it away for no more
than a few pieces of silver, may have been prompted to do so by either
one of two considerations. He may need the money badly and therefore
will sell the stone for whatever money it may bring him. Or perhaps he
may not realize the diamond's intrinsic value and is therefore
entirely satisfied with the small amount he receives for it. Now if a
person throws a diamond away for a pittance because his need for money
is desperate, he may regret his rash descision at some later date. But
if he never had any conception of the value of the diamond, he will
never wish that he had asked for the money.
The Torah means to stress that Esav too, had no conception of the
ruchniut(spiritual) value inherent in the birthright, that he sold for
the bowl of lentils. Therefore we are explicitly told that he ate and
drank to his heart's content, which must have taken some time to do,
and finally went away, still without even giving a thought to what it
was that he had so lightly cast away. Thus it is clear that he sold
his birthright not out of hunger, but out of utter contempt and
disdain for the spiritual gifts and responsibilties that the
birthright carried with it.
Shabat is a shining beautiful diamond, and now that we know that we
have to make sure that we dont sell it for something worthless like
work, school, clubs, bars, etc. Hashem has given us an amazing gift
and lets show him how much we love and cherish it, by celebrating it
and elevating it to the highest levels, by prayer, singing, achdut,
ahavat yisrael and learning Hashem's awesome Torah!
Please do something nice for someone who looks or acts or sounds
different than you and in this zechut we should be zoche to rid the
world of sinat chinam and be zoche to see the building of the third
and final Beit Hamikdash AMEN!
Shabat Shalom
The Torah in this email should be a zechut for Aaron Simcha ben Esther
to have a speedy painless recovery. AMEN
